Dorothy Bird is a Berlin–Liverpool-based art-pop singer, songwriter, arranger and keyboard player who blends ethereal synths, acoustic textures, and poetic depth into a sound that is as haunting as it is heartfelt. She has been compared to Portishead, Kate Bush and Thom Yorke, and her critically acclaimed debut album Belonging (2022) was praised as “magnificent“ (Dave Monks, BBC Introducing) and “masterful” (fifty3). She has been supported by BBC Merseyside, Liverpool Acoustic and Tom Robinson’s on BBC6musicand her second album, Whispering Paper (2025), opens bold new doors into emotional resonance, connection, and calm.

He has been featured on Tom Robinson's 6Music show and the Mixtape, Elizabeth Alker's BBC Radio 3 show Unclassified, as well as Exile FM's Monday Night Ride Out & Trust The Doc radio shows.
He also draws and designs covers and posters, as well as writing about music for the Joyzine review website.
