Skylon are a musical collaboration between Dorothy Bird, paulfcook and Luke Moore.
They met at the monthly Vanishing Point night promoted by Neil March of Demerara Records where Luke and Dorothy were playing.
That meeting led to a suggestion from paulfcook that they collaborate on the track that became ‘Road Less Travelled’. Everyone was so happy with the first track, and enjoyed working together so much, that the project soon expanded into an EP of four original tracks.
While the EP was taking shape thoughts turned to playing live, and so on 5 August 2021 Skylon played live for the first time at Vanishing Point, the very show that had spawned them.
The 'Postcards EP' was released in December 2021 having been previewed live on 27 November at LEAF, Bold Street in Liverpool.
